Sheffield Moving & Storage is very happy to announce some good news that came out of a terrible situation. Last week we were able to reunite an Alberta family with their household goods that had been held hostage for nearly a year by an uncertified moving company, Green Moving. Thanks to the Financial Crimes Unit of the Toronto Police Service, Green Moving has been shut down and will no longer scam families out of thousands of dollars. A special thanks to our driver, Jim Do...noghue (pictured with a happy Mrs. Kerber), for assisting us with returning this shipment to the Kerber family, and to Damian and Justin (pictured with our moving truck) of Sheffield Moving Toronto for assisting with loading and preparing this shipment at origin. The Canadian Association of Movers is a nonprofit organization that provides consumers with several resources to prepare them for a seamless move, and provides a list of certified movers across the country. Major van lines, like Allied Van Lines, are also a great place to look for trusted, reliable moving companies in your area. This happy ending wouldn't have been possible without all those involved from CAM, Sheffield Moving, Allied Van Lines, and the police officers who dedicated their time and effort to this case.
