Please share widely and help us spread the word. Volunteers are needed for Covid-19 Rapid Test Pop-Ups. No medical background is required as training for each... position as well as proper use of PPE is provided. Shifts are generally 4 hours long. Volunteer positions include: Greeter/screener (1 - 2 people) - This person meets individuals at the door, ensures that they meet the testing criteria and DO NOT have CoVID-19 symptoms, and make sure they are here for a Covid test. Reception (2-3 people) These people register individuals using a computer, and ask the individual to TEXT their name to a phone number. Sometimes required to assist people with texting if they don’t know how to do that. Traffic Flow managers (1) this person directs individuals where to stand while they are waiting to get tested. They make sure there are not too many people inside at once. Swabbers (3-4) these people take the swab from each individual. They are trained on what to say, and how to take the swab. They are provided with appropriate training on use of PPE, and all PPE is provided. Testers (2-3) - these people process the swab, put the sample into the test cassette, and wait for the results (15 minutes). They are also fully trained on the testing procedure and use of PPE, and all PPE is provided. Exit role (1) this person thanks the individual (again) for coming, asks them how they heard about the event, reminds them to sanitize their hands and reminds them (again) to download the COVID alert app. To sign up as a volunteer, please visit this link: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSd55PYPoEKWIpt7lE/viewform
