Watching these two labour together was a pretty good way to spend a Friday the 13th (And of course the end result of a healthy 5lbs 14oz little sweet pea was the best part) #birthphotography

We moved! As of two days ago, we are residents of Sylvan Lake! What does this mean for current clients or potential clients? Well, not much. Distance wise, I will be a little bit further from my Red Deer clients, and a little bit closer to my Rocky Mountain House clients (or a little further or closer to wherever else you may be on the map). However, I am still serving all of the same areas, and am excited to get settled in and make some new connections here! Happy hump day, also hey, it’s my face! I’ve been a doula for almost 7 years now {} and a birth photographer for 3 years. What I do makes m...y heart sing! 2. I’ve lived in many places in Alberta from Peace River area, Edmonton/St.Albert, Ryley, Sylvan Lake/Red Deer, and more, but I was actually born in Toronto, Ontario. Most of my fondest childhood memories were made in the Fort Frances, ON area, at the lake, cabin, and with all my family that lives there. 3. Atmosphere & Brand New are the music artists I’ve seen play live shows the most, tied at 3 or 4 times each.. However, the first concert I ever went to was Hillary Duff. 4. My eyes are green with a hazel ring, and my husband’s eyes are aqua blue. We somehow made three brown eyed children! Although I think our daughter’s eyes are turning green like mine. 5. My favourite smell is Burt’s Bees grapefruit chapstick. They really nailed the essence of a fresh grapefruit smell, I LOVE the scent or flavour of grapefruit, but I’m picky about it. (grapefruit bubly is a no from me dawg) 6. I never thought I’d be someone who would get into fitness (like, ever), but about 5 months ago I made some significant lifestyle changes, including a focus on nutrition and exercise, and I’m really loving it! 7. Me and my husband have been together for 11 years next month, which makes me feel super old, even though I’m not. (We’ve been together since our teen years) Getting to do life with him is pretty rad. 8. I have 7 piercings, and 5 tattoos (soon to be 6, in two weeks!). I’ve always loved body mods and the amazing creative artistry they are. 9. I am not a picky eater at all, but I cannot do raw tomatoes. 10. I’m genuinely surprised I made it to 10 but now I can’t think of any others. Um.. I can’t walk in high heels. There ya go! If you read this far, I’m impressed! Thank you!

Something about that window light pouring in... I find spontaneous labour usually begins at night, but I’ve had a string of daytime births recently! Were your babies born during the daytime or night? ... Mine were 1:45am, 1:09am, and 7:49am! {Doula is Santana Peters Doula Services }
