We are open! At Sheldon Nathanson Law, safety is our number one priority. As current health restrictions begin to ease, allowing for businesses to reopen their doors, our team has formulated a work plan to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our clients and staff. Here are the quick facts on what our new office procedures look like:... Clients who wish to make an appointment Will now have the option to come inside the building to meet, however clients are still able to have their appointment through telephone or videoconferenci in most circumstances if they prefer; To ensure physical distancing protocols, clients who are attending at our office are asked to wait in their vehicle in our parking lot, and phone our office (902-562-1929) when they arrive; Clients are asked to self-assess before entering our building; Signage and floor decals relating to public health protocols are placed in and around the office; Clients are asked to sanitize or wash their hands upon entering the building, and sanitizing stations are set up around the office; Clients are asked not to bring additional guests with them to their appointment; Clients will he asked to bring their own pen if required; All high touch surfaces and boardroom areas will be cleaned and sanitized between client appointments; We will continue to restrict direct contact when possible through curbside pick-up/drop-off. We continue to monitor public health protocols and recommendations from the government and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society to ensure we are always up to date on health and safety measures. COVID-19 UPDATE - March 23, 2020 Yesterday, Nova Scotia declared a provincial State of Emergency to help contain the spread of COVID-19. At Sheldon Nathanson Law, we are doing our part to #flattenthecurve. We have transitioned the majority of our staff into working from home for the safety of all concerned, and those co-workers who are still on site are able to safety practice social distancing. ... We have kept up to date with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society protocols, and we have implemented the proper measures so that we are able to witness documents virtually, and serve clients by telephone, Skype, Zoom, or Facetime. Our phone line and email services remain fully operational. We are here to help, in any way we can, during these unprecedented times of uncertainty. Take care of each other, and be safe! NOTICE TO OUR VALUED CLIENTS AND COMMUNITY: COVID-19 We are watching closely as the global situation with COVID-19 continues to unfold. At this time of unprecedented uncertainty, Sheldon Nathanson Law is actively working to ensure the health and safety of our staff and our clients. Maintaining our commitment to service quality, while balancing the welfare of our staff, clients, and community as a whole, remains our first priority. In doing this, we have decided to follow the ...advice of the government and public health officials. The office of Sheldon Nathanson Law remains open at the present time. While we are reinforcing our already rigorous standards of maintaining a safe and clean environment, and following the recommendations of public health officials, we have also introduced a number of changes to safeguard the health and safety of our staff, our clients and our community: We have increased our cleaning and sanitizing protocols, and have hand-sanitation services available throughout the office; We are closely monitoring the ongoing developments relating to COVID-19, with the intent of consistently re-evaluating, and communicating any changes to our protocols with the public; When possible, consults and meetings will be held by telephone, or rescheduled if necessary; and In accordance with the public health advisories, we ask that any person who has travelled outside of the country in the last fourteen (14) days not attend the office, and to self-isolate. Through the use of these preventative measures, at Sheldon Nathanson Law, we are committed to upholding our quality standard of service, while also maintaining the health and safety standards in accordance with the decisions of the government and public health officials.
