Our favourite #bracesfriendly recipes are comfort food. Check out these loaded mashed potatoes for Foodie Friday! Freshly ground black pepper 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cup grated cheddar cheese 1 green onion, finely chopped cup sour cream 8 strips of bacon, cooked and cut into small pieces 2 tablespoons chopped chives, for garnish. Directions 1. Place the potatoes in a large pot, add the salt and fill with water to ensure the potatoes are covered by approximately an inch. Boil until soft, about 20 minutes. 2. Drain the potatoes and transfer to a large mixing bowl. You could also use a stand mixer with a large bowl. This will give you a very smooth final result. 3. Add the butter, sour cream and pepper. Mash together to the consistency you like, ensuring the butter and sour cream are evenly dispersed. 4. Add the remaining ingredients, except the chives, and mix well. 5. Top with the chives, and serve.
