I am reminded of all the possible secrets the forest is hiding whenever I get a glimpse of these fairytale like shrooms. I don't know what it is about them, but they just fascinate me!

"Photographs are the universal language of our era. Everyone has hundreds, maybe thousands in their pocket. Weightless, they turn the scale when the argument is: What happened here? Images don’t age or warp. A great photographer’s strings never go out of tune." In world full of people that have become desensitized to the potential greatness of a photo due to the very devices held in their pockets, I choose to continue my mission to find and capture the things that make my soul catch fire.

This night was quite an amazing experience for me. As you can see, the aurora borealis were out and the colours it was producing were breathtaking to say the least! When this was taken, in late summer of 2019, I was in this place of confusion and longing to know what was to become of my life over the next few years. I felt that a huge change was on the horizon, but I just couldn't place or navigate those feelings well enough to understand that they were legit and maybe even ...my subconscious telling me that 2020 would be the year everything would be different. It has been one roller coaster of a ride, let me tell you. 2020 taught me so much about myself and my habits. It taught me to truly appreciate the time you get to spend with your family or close ones. It also taught me that spending time out in the fresh air and marveling at the site of this beautiful world is by far my most enjoyed pass time! Though I've always known i was an out doorsy type of gal, over the years i had come to devalue those times spent out taking pictures, coming up with lame excuses as to why it wasn't worth my time or that I was tired and had no energy. It was quite literally killing my creativity and sense of self worth believe it or not. I was becoming more and more lethargic and not at all interested in doing the things I once loved. Sure I would go out here and there, but not nearly as much as I used to and it was killing me inside. Thanks to 2020, it all makes sense to me now. I've opened my eyes again and I never want to shut them again or get lost in my shadow. This is my prophecy.. to never close my eyes in such a way that I've filtered out all the magic that I have and still have yet to experience! I hope this year has been good to all, despite all the current events! Love the end of version 2020 Sherrann
