Going through my images from this weekend's wedding, and this one put a smile on my face. One of my favorite pictures from the day!

I've been taking a little time to go through some of my past sessions, and this was one of my favorite engagement sessions from this past year. Had to share!

Well, first wedding of the season has come and gone already. What a day! The weather was freezing and the wind was blowing, but nothing was going to stop us getting a few outdoor pictures. We managed 20 minutes from start to finish outside, before we couldn't take it anymore, but it was so worth it. The wedding party braved the cold and were so much fun to be with that day. Brittney and Kieran, your love and longtime friendship truly shows itself in the way you two connect together. Thank you for choosing me to capture your day, it was truly an honor.

I know I always say this, but photographing the people nearest and dearest to my heart... well it just doesn't get any better than that. Especially when it is my beautiful sister and her amazing wife. I can't wait to meet my new little nephew very soon. He will be blessed with the most amazing parents. Love you both! ( I mean all three of you!)

Being able to photograph the wedding of someone near and dear to your heart, as they start a new chapter in their life is always a privilege. What a perfect relaxing day they planned followed by an amazing dinner afterward. Kelsi and Joe you looked stunning. I wish you everything life has to offer you as a family, and years of wonderful memories. A very big thank you to Michelle Lana Photography for coming out and photographing this day with me.

I have photographed over 500 weddings in my career, but this was my very first intimate wedding. Just 26 guests. Their closest family and friends for a brunch en blanc. It was my great honor to be asked to photograph this wedding, and watch my friend sing her Dad' s down the aisle to be married. Everything was down to a beautiful fine detail and menu, and the whole event was captured completely candidly. I loved every moment of just being behind my lens and watching it all unfold. Thank you so much for the honor of being able to capture this day for you Jim and John.

And our beautiful summer nights have arrived! Perks of the job, is being able to visit gorgeous locations such as Harrison.

There are so many moments on a wedding day that carry so much emotion. As a photographer, we try to capture these moments so that you can see what others saw, and not forget the way you felt. A bride being walked down the aisle by her father is one of these moments. This is the last moment he has with his daughter before he get to pass her hand over to her future husband. The last minute words of wisdom, telling her how proud he is of her and how much he loves her. She, so proud to have her father walk beside her on this beautiful new journey, pausing for a brief moment to smile at mom, before she turns to her father and he lifts her veil, ready to hand her off to her new husband and life.

The best part about photographing a winter wedding, (other than the snow) is when you land a beautiful sunny day. The sun is so low in the sky, and makes for the most dramatic lighting. We raced against the sun for these photos, and used it to the very last second!
