Fantastic weekend for the Gowns4grads. Sherwood Park Elks partnered with Edmonton North YMCA and gave away 106 dresses and 53 suites between 4 and 8 pm on Friday. And Saturday from 10 to 3 pm gave away another 80 dresses and 14 suites. Also received donations of 35 dresses and 28 suites. Gowns4grads is cancelled for this year due to the rising numbers from Covid 19. Hope to be back next year.
Shout out to our members Leonard and Gord for their volunteer work with NorthernStar Mothers Milk Bank! Since March 23, 2020 Leonard and Gord have picked up approximately 335 litres of milk donated by women in the Edmonton area. Thanks to their hard work, donations of milk have increased since they started picking it up twice a week! Way to go Leonard Shain and Gordon McLeod. #elksproud #volunteer #givingbacktoourcommunity
