2021 She Shreds Clinic & Avalanche Course Schedule

It’s been a dang fun, hilarious, productive past couple days in the mountains with the Nelson Sno-Goers snowmobile club. How many of you actively participate in volunteering with your local snowmobile club? Did you know all clubs run on a volunteer basis... maintaining all their cabins? fundraising for all their grooming equipment and maintenance trail brushing and road maintenance putting on events for families keeping recreational snowmobiling areas open British Columbia Snowmobile Federation - BCSF clearing parking lots for you to park and the list goes on! She Shreds Staff not only actively get memberships at 9 snowmobile clubs across BC every season but many of the staff activity participate in clubs either on the executive board or volunteer days organized by the club! Today Polaris Inc. launched the Empowersports Women’s Riding Council and I’m excited to announce that I am an inaugural member representing female snowmobilers. The council brings together women from all riding backgrounds to engage with Polaris leaders and help champion increased representation, inclusion and participation of women in powersports. What an intense past 5 days of a re-cert wilderness first responder course in Revelstoke. This happens every 3 years but this course especially brought back all the feels from a snowmobile incident that happened on the Pemberton Glacier 2 winters ago. Tough to swallow, but glad i got through it. After passing the exam with 90%, it’s safe to say that we here at she shreds take this learning and re-certifying stuff seriously to make sure we are confident and comfortable stabilizing our clients if anything were to happen in the backcountry. fingers crossed nothing ever happens tho!! Now back to business!!!!!!!! The launch of the 2021 clinic and course schedule is next up!!!!!!!!!!!
