Hi all, Happy new year to all the Shima students, I hope you have all had a great holiday, Starting January 4th all Junior classes will be back at the dojo with all covid precautions still in place, Class for adults (22 years and up) are still on Zoom for now, this includes the Monday/Wednesday 6:30 Teen/Adult Class,... Also the 7:45 Brown & up class is still only on Zoom, On January 8th Dr Bonnie will be making another announcement, we are hoping to get everyone back after that, I am so happy to be out of 2020 and am looking forward to a year of growth expect it to be an exciting year, We will see you in class or on the screen, Cheers Sensei

Hi everyone, This year the dojo will be closed for the same 2 weeks that school is closed, In January you are more than welcome to do some make up classes, It has been a crazy year and we are hoping things will start to normalize in January,... Shima - Update, As of today at 3:00 the following has been implemented by Dr Henry, 1) Martial arts class can continue if kept low intensity, 2) Masks must be worn by any juniors and up while training 3) All instructors will wear masks while teaching... 4) Masks are not required by the Samurai's kids in class, 5) Parents are not permitted in foyer during class 6) All classes will be on Zoom for parents to watch from home 7) No water bottles in the dojo (take a drink before coming in) If you have any question please contact me 250-756-1055 We will be watching and adjusting as needed to keep everyone safe, Cheers Sensei

Hi all, We have been watching the developments at Dover and now the Nanaimo hospital and have decided that for the next couple of weeks all the teen adults classes will be on Zoom only, (see schedule below) The Zoom classes will be guided Zoom classes like we had when we were in lockdown, There will also be daily open training for any teen adults who cannot do Zoom classes, they are from Monday to Thursday from 6:30 - 7:30. Also, Sempai Richard will be doing Zoom Circuit tra...ining on Monday and Wednesday at 8:45 for any students who want to join him, Hopefully this will only last for a couple of weeks and we can get back to normal after that, Sensei See more
