Final stage complete! Silver stripe off, new black stripe and Polar decal added. Old caulking cut out, fresh new white caulking applied. Scrubbed, buffed, ceramic coated and voila!!! Looks like a brand new boat. #shipshapemarineauto

2018 Sierra in Black. This truck is 2 years old and because it’s black, comes with some extra scratches, even from using a wash kit! After some wet sanding, complete buff using step 1,2 and 3 with 3M compound (8 hours) to eliminate scratching and swirls, this truck came up really nice! Check this out. After a @shipshape_marine_and_auto ceramic coat, we give you a bottle of detail spray which contains ceramic particles. This helps keep the coating smooth and it’s gloss at it’s peak. Have a look at these photos. This truck is filthy, but it only took me 15 minutes to wipe the entire truck down using ONLY the ceramic spray. No water! You can’t do this on regular paint. Moving the dirt around dry would be a disaster and cause scratching. The ceramic protects the paint from fine scratching. Pretty awesome stuff.

Update: Three solid days and we’re done. Added some before and after shots of the interior and exterior. Complete clean, scrub, buff, wet sand, new stripes, decals and a full ceramic to really make that gel pop. What an excellent little boat. We had so much fun doing this boat! It was a challenge, but it looks brand new. 2007 17’ Polar center console with a 90 HP Yamaha, brought to @shipshape_marine_and_auto all the way from Oakville Ontario. This is an exciting project.... Here are the before pics of a fully oxidized, chalky exterior, prior to a complete buff, detail and ceramic coating. Stay tuned for the after shots.
