After watching his dad be defeated in his title fight, our son was understandably upset. I gave him the best piece of advice a mother could: WE EITHER WIN OR WE LEARN. Although Jay Hardknoxx didn't get the outcome he wanted Saturday night, we learned a lot. A 42 year old man, father and husband who has fought adversity his whole life, stepped into the ring against an opponent he had lost to 2 times before; unafraid of the challenge. We learned that it doesn't matter your age,... your circumstance or how chaotic your life is, if you want something, you go after it. Owning 2 businesses, having a family and driving 2 hours one direction to train, we learned if you want it bad enough, you will make time and make it happen. We learned that win or lose, the people who support you will stand by you no matter what, because that's what friends do. Jay was knocked down with a sharp left hand and not only did he get back up, he kept fighting. He pushed through the second round, trying to fight through the initial hit, and kept fighting until he got stopped. We learned that in life, we win some and we lose some, but it doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down, it's that you continue to get back up and keep fighting. Fight for what you want, take risks, challenge yourself and always be learning. Jay, you are a true warrior. Thank you to all of our sponsors and fans who came out and continue to support Jay in all he does. We appreciate everyone who is a part of the team. We are truly grateful to have everyone in our lives. Thank you Coach Soc for your endless guidance and support. To United Promotions for putting on incredible shows. To all those involved in fight camp, helping at the gym and supporting Jay. We thank you all See more
