Love this kind of creativity!
If you think email marketing is dead, think again! Morning Brew (one of the email newsletters we subscribe to here) is in talks to sell to Business Insider with a purported price tag of $75 million or more. This is a 5 year-old newsletter company! If you've got a verified list of over 2 million subscribers it can attract a LOT of revenue!
For a Tense Hour, a World Without Gmail It’s easy to take it for granted until it’s gone. Gmail, YouTube and other Google services crashed yesterday, interrupting communications for millions worldwide (and even delaying the mailing of Monday’s Presidential Daily Brief). Though the outage was less than an hour, one expert estimated that it cost the tech giant $1.7 million in ad revenue alone. The outage, which the company said resulted from an internal storage quota issue,... also dumbed down Android smartphones, disabling vital apps like Google Maps. Some Google Home users even struggled to adjust their thermostats or turn on their lights. Sources: CNBC, Fox Business, Screen Rant From daily.ozy.com

Careful with your reviews! A Bad Hotel Review Can Land You in Jail Will the big house get five stars? Wesley Barnes complained on TripAdvisor that Thailand’s Sea View Resort and Spa in Koh Chang had an extremely rude and impolite restaurant manager and its employees’ working conditions were akin to slavery. But it didn’t end there: The resort sued its American expat tormentor, prompting authorities to arrest him under strict local defamation laws. Barnes, who works in Tha...iland, faces up to two years imprisonment if convicted. He’ll need a lawyer, but he’s already been defended by netizens barraging the resort with more bad reviews. What are you paying for when you pay for annual hosting and website maintenance for your website? The answer will depend on who is providing the service and what level of service you are getting. In our case, we monitor websites for required updates to the underlying CMS (WordPress), the theme used on the site, and the plugins that provide additional functionality. These things often have updates and doing these updates is important for security and proper ongoing functioning... of the website. We clean out spam and optimize the website database on regular basis. We provide regular site backups (generally on a monthly basis but some customers have daily backups). We also back up the whole server on a nightly basis. Additionally, we monitor for security issues. As part of our maintenance we do small website updates such as hours of operation or pop-up notices, etc for no additional charge. The part is the hosting. We use a high speed server with 24 CPU cores and have tons of reserve CPU capacity. The server is dedicated to our customers (and that of our partner) and we manage the security and other aspects of the whole server. This is WAY BETTER than the typical 'shared' service you can pay for if you are so inclined. We also provide free SSL certificates and CDN. And finally, it's a fully managed service. We're there to help if you have issues, problems, concerns, or need other marketing help.
I saw this the other day and it made so much sense to me. It drives me crazy when people don’t charge what they are worth. Tiffany sells a paper clip for $1500.... never apologize for what you’re worth
