Mock exams will be held Friday, Oct 16. Due to Covid spacing and cleaning requirements we will be assigning all participants a specific time slot (max 3 students per slot). Please check the list posted on the bulletin board at the dojo to verify that your name is on there and if not please talk to an instructor ASAP. Deadline to sign up is Oct 10. If you are unable to attend at the time you are assigned you will unfortunately have to wait for the next grading. If you show up late for your time slot you will unfortunately have to wait for the next grading. Time slots will be communicated to individual participants after the 10th.

Information for the upcoming grading! Mock exams - Friday, Oct 16 (evening) Exams with Sensei Jones - Saturday, Oct 24 (afternoon) Both events will take place at SKC dojo. Exact times will be determined according to the number of participants at each level and will be communicated closer to the event.... In the past we have always encouraged everyone to participate in the mock gradings, even if you didn't think you were ready, as a learning experience. Unfortunately this time around due to Covid related space restrictions this is not possible. You MUST speak to an instructor and get your name on the short list in order to participate in the mock exams. If you show up and you are not on the list you will not be allowed to enter! Preference will be given to those who have been training regularly since our reopening in July.

First full class!! 16 spaces all with correct physical distancing. Book your classes early to avoid disappointment. There are 4 possible classes for beginner and intermediate classes and 5 for brown and black belts. It’s wonderful to see so many sweaty faces!

Our Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm classes resume tomorrow. Perfect for children doing virtual learning, shift workers, retirees, etc.! We are limited to 16 students per class, every student has their own 2mx2m square, and enhanced sanitation measures are in place for your safety. If your child needs phys. ed. hours for school we are happy to sign off the form.

Our classes are starting to increase in numbers so please make sure you reserve your spot well in advance to avoid disappointment! In light of the above we are adding some more classes. Saturdays (beginning Sep 12):... 9:00am white-orange 10:00 green-purple 11:00 brown-black Tuesdays/Thursdays (beginning Sep 8): 1:00pm all belts minimum 5 students per class required in order to run Sensei Jones has agreed to conduct a grading at our dojo in October (date/time TBA). Please talk to Sensei Phillip if you are interested in participating.

We’ve talked about doing this demonstration. Helps a lot to make sense of what the moves are actually meant to do!
