He possesses a rare talent of excelling in both pure dance (nritta) and expressional (abhinaya) aspects, both in masculine and feminine interpretations.Adept in dance and music, he did his diploma in Bharatanatyam from the famed Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai, learnt Kuchipudi at legendary Vempati Chinna Satyam’s Kuchipudi Art Academy in Chennai, and got trained in Manipuri and Kathak in Kolkata and Odissi in Odisha. He also learnt Hindustani vocal, Rabindra Sangeet and Baul folk songs. He is fluent in eight languages, including Sanskrit, Telugu, Assamese and Malayalam. Melody with bells.bharathanatyam performance by Anjaly Jeyakandhan on 17 th saturday @10.00 am est @7 30 pm ist @3.00 pm uk Anjaly Jeyacanthan’s journey in Bha...rathanatyam commenced at the tender age of four, under the tutelage of Smt. Thenujah Thirumaran at Nattiya Kalakshetra in Toronto. Her guru’s intensive training and guidance helped Anjaly gain a unique dance style. Over the last ten years, Anjaly performed in a multitude of places including Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. She completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram on July 2, 2017. She has participated in Clivekand Thyagaraja Utsavam USA and was a finalist in the ‘Worldwide Hidden Idol Classical Dance Competition 2016, Chenai. She is learning Veena under Smt. Prabha Thayalan and violin under Sri. Jayadevan Nair. See more
