Online learning - Custom Kitchen Designs

Congratulations to former SHS student Danna on her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design. Here's a snippet of her final project at the Faculty of Architecture | University of Manitoba.

Here are a few of the online Fun Friday Design Challenge projects.

These are being delivered today! Hopefully my grads like them. Since they won’t have the traditional grad they had planned I am hoping to make them feel special with a little something made in the drafting lab. 3D printed caps, laser engraved mugs, tassel keychains and some treats.

Here are a few of our Fun Friday at home challenge #5 - Build a bridge as long as possible that can hold 250g of weight in the middle of the span.

Fun Friday at home challange #4 - Build a tower using 7 basic shapes found in your kitchen (cube, cylinder, rectangle, sphere, cone, pyramid and triangular).

FUN FRIDAY at home #3 - Arches Design Challenge. Here are a few of the designs submitted yesterday. Only 6 papers and tape.

Here are some of the results from FUN FRIDAY's online design challenge (in no particular order). Students were given the task of building a cantilever that extended out as far as possible using only tape and paper.

Small, medium and large! Manufacturing mask extenders for medical personnel on the new Epilog laser machine.

Mask extenders were a success. Going to shrink them down a little to get more per sheet and cut some more.

Made some masks extender hooks for the heath care workers today on the laser.

So sad the rest of the students won’t be able to print their custom egg holder before Easter...but here are a few we did today (only 6 students today).

I have signed SHS Drafting up on the public database for people from around the world who are looking for those have access to 3D printing and design skills who are willing to donate time and use of machines if there is a need.
