Please circulate our RFP for this important and exciting project! ****** Supporting Siblings: A New Path to Financial Security, is a new national initiative that PLAN and The Sibling Collaborative are working closely together on to explore how siblings can contribute to the long-term financial wellbeing of their sisters and brother who have a disability.... We are currently accepting proposals from experienced researchers to collaborate on this a multi-stakeholder initiative. To be considered, please submit your proposals by email to the attention of Rebecca Pauls at PLAN (rpauls(at)plan.ca) by 5:00PM PT on September 24, 2020.
This video is wonderful for many reasons. It is Canadian and most importantly it is a beautiful lifelong and heartwrenching sibling journey . (It is 45 min to view). "When Norm was 14 years old, my parents made arrangements and put him in a foster care situation. Norm was really upset about leaving the home and I was really upset about him leaving. And I remember saying to myself at the age of 6 or 7 ... ...I will get you back someday"
A heartfelt thanks to those of you who joined in the series of virtual meetups held over these past few months. It was an absolute privilege to meet you and have the chance to share our stories, challenges and enormous strengths.
