Racism and inequality continue to be at the root of so much pain and ugliness in many societies around the world. George Floyd and countless others are individuals denied necessary privileges such as fundamental human and civil rights, and the dignity and respect that comes with them. It takes courage to speak up and speak out when we witness hatred, racism, or prejudice.
