It's that time of year again! Piazzola's "Oblivion" will be played on the Peace Tower Carillon on Parliament Hill this Wednesday, August 26. If you are not working in Centretown these days, not to worry - they broadcast it online.

Uplifting video for today's post This morning I heard from former students who are currently in Western Australia, where there are zero cases of Covid-19 (I looked it up and it's amazing). The borders of their state remain closed, and will be closed for a very long time. There, they are having milongas with pre-bookings but things are what we would consider "normal" - dancing with other partners included. We are not there yet and won't be for a long while, but it shows us that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
