Watcha doin tomorrow evening? I have some new things I'd like to share with you! I'm going live with Renegade Craft's Virtual Fair tomorrow (Friday), 5-7pm CST to share what I've been working on this week, give you an ARL (*Almost* Real Life) tour of the studio and have some chats with Hello Darling (she's also going live with the Virtual Market! Duelling live streams!). Heck, there might even be a fashion show. . You can tune in on my IG Stories anytime between 5 and 7pm tom...orrow, say hi, ask a Q, or just bear witness to the inevitable tomfoolery that unfolds when Miriam and I get together. . From now to the end of this weekend, 15% from every sale on the website will be donated to local non-profits supporting BIPOC, women and families. I have a couple organizations in mind (Justice4BlackLivesWpg, Mount Carmel, MB Association of Women's Shelters), but I would love to hear your suggestions too! . . #renegadecraft #virtualfair #onlinemarket #renegadecraftvirtualfair #renegadevirtualfair #coworkers #coworkingspace #studio #madeincanada #womanowned #ethicalfashion #linenwear #winnipeg #ethicalfashion #ethicalclothing #madeincanada #slowfashion #minimalistwardrobe #washedlinen #linenlove #linen #fashionrev See more

Treaty 1 was signed on August 3, 1871 in the "Stone Fort", also known as Lower Fort Garry. I went there a lot on school field trips and drive by it all the time going to my mom's house. I don't recall learning anything about Treaty 1. I was taught how to curtsy while inside the fort walls, and how to carry buckets of water on my shoulders. Was I not paying attention to the actual important stuff? . I googled Treaty 1 and learned more in five minutes than I remember (o...r was taught?) in history class. This accord for peace reads more like Indigenous peoples surrendering their traditional lands in exchange for broken promises (accurately referred to as the Outside Promises, not one year after the Treaty was signed! One year!) Our history is much, much more than York boats and pemmican. . Never stop questioning, and learning, and listening. See more
