Doing an expansion on the very first Sigma Rho Squared Engineering project. It was great to go back, meet with the client and hear stories of satisfaction and excitement to move this one ahead. It’s nothing complex. Just a retaining wall-slab-on-grade combo for a storage building.

The trusses are straight... now! Interesting stabilization project where the roof panels were inadequately fastened to the roof trusses. The roof trusses were starting to exhibit signs of failure. We provided instructions to the owner on how to make connections between the trusses and panels without removing the roof. Some of the trusses had laterally displaced as much as 8. We were unsure if they’d be able to straighten them but... it’s coming together!

They politely laughed, asking how much time we had. They tried to explain briefly that they offer many programs to a wide variety of marginalized people in our area.
