COVID-19 Update: This is such a bizarre, rapidly changing time. Just when I think everything is under control, I then find out it's not. So, I've hesitated on posting this update, because I hope my clients *already know* that I will support them through what they need during this very confusing time. As of today, March 18, 2020, our front doors are locked to prevent walk-in traffic. If you'd like to connect to drop off any tax returns or paperwork, please email [email protected] or text me at 807.474.7568 and we will together figure out a way to have your needs supported. We are 100% available electronically or over the phone at anytime. We recommend that you keep hyper-aware of your cash flow, and how your business is being affected. If you need advice or assistance, please reach out. Finally, here is my most vulnerable moment ever in my entire career: Things are dire for us right now. We are a very small firm, and our receivable balance right now is higher than it has ever been. We sent out our February billings at the beginning of March, and then many of our clients shuttered operations and are not committing to payment until mid-to-late April. As a small team, we are unable to support our clients without payment at this time, although it breaks my heart to do this. I've always wanted to position myself to be flexible with all of you, and I desperately wish I wasn't in this predicament. As of right now, myself and my staff are unable to devote any time to unpaid work. Any tasks assigned will have our regular billable rates associated with them, and will be payable immediately. If you are a client of mine, and are able to support my firm in this way, please reach out because we desperately need the work. If you need our help but are unable to pay at this time, reach out so we can have a discussion and make a plan to move forward. Thank you everyone, Love Nadia, Shane and Lauren

Since it's still pretty cold outside, might as well grab a cup of coffee and get your finances in order. Right? Here is our finance to-do list from us to you: 1. Reassess your budget for this year. What's changed since last year in regards to your income? What needs to go? You'd be surprised at how much our budgets can vary from year to year.... 2. File your tax return early. If you're owed a refund, you'll be able to spend it sooner and put to towards any immediate payments that need to be made. If you're self-employed or own a business, it'll help to get organized now with all your invoice + receipts so you can get a better idea of how much you will owe in taxes. 3. Find ways to spend less on your recurring bills. When did you sign up for that mobile plan? Could it be that there are better deals now and you don't even realize it? Often times, shopping around for new plans can save you a LOT of money. 4. Pay down any holiday debt you may have by making more frequent payments and searching for a lower interest rate. Once again, research can take you far in terms of saving money. What's on your financial to-do list?
