It is Parents in Sport Week. Join me to recognize the importance that parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other caregivers play in children's lives. Sh...are in the comments how your parents/caregivers influenced your involvement in sport, physical activity, and active recreation. Or tell us about another parent you see helping their child/ren be active and involved. My parents never said no when I wanted to try a new activity or sport. When I was younger, my dad drove me to the rink at 6 AM so I could skate before school. My Mom volunteered to play music in the "music box", was on the skating club's board for years, and made my skating dresses. #lethbridgesport #changinglives See more

Please join us at The Lethbridge Friendship Centre to participate in a conversation to inform Alberta Native Friendship Centre's Association strategic framework addressing violence against Indigenous Women. Spots are limited, please call (403) 328-2414 to reserve your seat. The Alberta Native Friendship Centres Association (ANFCA), funded through the Department of Women and Gender Equality, is inviting Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA persons to participate in the Frien...dship Centres ‘Moving the Calls to Justice into action': A vision for the future of Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA persons survey. This survey will help us understand the current feelings of safety and concerns in our 21 Friendship Centre communities so we can work together to focus on local and provincial actions that will improve safety and security for Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA persons. This survey is being administered by ANFCA, the provincial body for the 21 Friendship Centres. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MovingTheCallsToJusticeIntoA
