The free app comes in iOS and android and can be downloaded for free by family caregivers who are looking to learn how to cope with difficult dementia behaviours and the stress of caring for a family member with Alzheimer's or other dementia through interactive dialogue guided by expert coaching. Each scenario is based on a real-life situation and takes minutes to complete. I like this a lot. Frazer Seymour a computer science student at University of Guelph has designed a prototype of a playback device designed to help seniors with... dementia play and skip songs or adjust the volume on a tablet. Both of Frazer's grandmothers were diagnosed with a form of dementia when he was in high school and the idea to help those in similar circumstances stayed with him through University. These 3 brothers (triplets) from Arlington VA who are 18, were born blind. However, they have been recently equipped with Aira glasses that are not like ordinary spectacles. Aira, a San Diego-based company has developed smart glasses to help the blind and visually impaired with everyday tasks. The glasses are equipped with a camera, which feeds a video stream to a remote agent who then narrates what they see in real time over the phone for the user. Life changing.
