Silver Fern Tree service

We had an unique tree to prune yesterday. Large Betula Pendula aka Weeping Birch. How do you like what we have done to it?

Birch removal. This time, we went all the way to charming Turner Valley. Client´s birch tree was infested with Bronze Birch borer. The presence of bronze birch borer is characterized with thinning crown, discoloration of foliage, branch dieback in crown, holes in the bark and many other signs. Damage generally begins near the upper part of the crown on branches measuring approximately 20 mm in diameter. The best way to control birch borer is to maintain the health of your trees, as borers will normally not attack healthy trees. Sufficient water for birches is absolutely critical for their health. Birch are trees that are native to rivers, lakes, and other areas with high water levels. They do very poorly in drought conditions

Poplar removal. Client wasn´t happy how much was a poplar making mess on his yard. Poplar also had a crown gall so it had to go ...

Last week we had a birch removal. Always feel sad when we have to remove one of these but this one wasn´t doing well. It was growing in the corner of the yard very close to the house and service lines. Our client also stared developing his yard and some of the roots were destroeyd and disturbed.
