BIG shout out to the kids! They are dealing with most of the things that adults are, with way fewer coping skills. They are adjusting, adapting, and making their way through a rapidly changing world. We are so happy to be a place of respite and joy in these difficult times.
We have limited space available and are offering live and online options for our classes. REGISTRATION for classes, which resumed yesterday, is OPEN at http://silverhopedance.com/ where you will also find the schedule and fees. Our 2100sf space with a maximum of 6 dancers per class, offers plenty of room for distancing. Our COVID-19 Safety Plan is here: http://silverhopedance.com/covid-19-safety/
Welcome back! We're looking forward to seeing our dancers again! We added some mirrors and taped the floor over the holidays to further accommodate physical distancing. Big thanks to Miss Talia and Evita for their help with the taping! We have limited space available for new dancers and will continue to offer an online option for classes. Our schedule is at: http://silverhopedance.com/dance-schedule/
Happy New Year... may the best be yet to come!
As 2020 comes to a close, so does our time in the location we have been in since 2016. We created so many great memories here. From classes, camps, competition & recital practices, and picture days, to movie nights, game nights, sleepovers, meals shared in our break room, registration days, and so much more! These things will stay in our hearts forever. We have officially moved to the space we have been testing since September. With 2100 square feet and a maximum of 6 dancers per class, it is very well suited to these covid-19 times. We have been making some changes to the space over the holidays and we're excited to see our dancers when we reopen Jan. 4. Here's to new beginnings! Let's take all that is good with us, leave the rest behind, and move forward with optimism, gratitude, and open hearts. Happy New Year, everyone!
Dance is a way to find yourself and lose yourself at the same time. When you feel lost, reconnect with yourself through dance. Dance can be done anywhere; be creative, express yourself, and feel your feelings. Stay safe. Stay healthy. <3
A brilliant example of creativity, resilience, and passion! This pandemic is challenging the dance industry in so many ways and we keep rising to the challenge. Dance is such an important way to express, connect, and develop as people. Keep on dancing! #beinspired
The dance industry is taking yet another hit... this time it's a result of the recent outbreak at Capella Dance Academy. As it turns out, the outbreak was most likely a result of people making risky choices outside of the dance studio. This isn't about blame; it's about staying healthy and safe and functioning. It's about awareness and making sure that everyone is doing what they are being asked to do to keep life and activities operating as normally as possible for everyone'...s sake. It's important to take a long-term view; this is for now, not forever. #makegoodchoices We so appreciate the ongoing support of our dance families during these uncertain times. We are offering our classes online during this closure and hope to be back to live classes soon. Stay safe and healthy. THIS! Dance is an instant mood elevator. Give this a try and start each day on a positive note!
We remember. We are grateful. Your sacrifice, your service, past and present, has had an immeasurable impact. Our freedom is priceless, as is your contribution. Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU..
REMINDER: We will not be running classes on Wednesday, November 11 in honour of Remembrance Day and all who have and continue to serve and sacrifice for our freedom.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
All dancers will receive a branded face mask with their Hallowe'en gift from the studio (Sunday dancers will receive their masks on Nov. 1). Please ensure that they wear it each week while in the common areas (and in class if you choose). Ear loops can be tied to the correct length, if necessary, so that they fit properly. NOTE: Care Instructions: Hand Wash in warm soapy water and Hang to Dry. Please wash it before they wear it for the first time. Thank you.
Dancers are invited to wear a costume to classes during HALLOWEEK: Sunday, October 25 - Thursday, October 29. Please ensure that they can dance in their costume and it is not scary (no jeans, please).
