We have been blown away by the level of support we have received from participants, marinas & sponsors alike. The Silver Salmon Challenge was created as a not-for profit organization by local fisherman whose livelihoods heavily depend on the fishery. As a group we are committed to using our platform to uplift the charter & tourism industry, invigorating ...life back into our great fishery. With support from some like-minded stakeholders we are dedicated to putting this world class fishery back on the map, giving it the recognition and exposure it deserves. The 2021 Silver Salmon Challenge has committed to a $100,000 Cash Guaranteed First Place Prize! We look forward to seeing everyone back out on the water next season! WOW! The Silver Spoon Category was a total of $15,850 ! Congratulations to Mario on the first place finish! Not bad for a days fishing! Week 1 winner Antoine came in at second! And Ryan Tate with our third spot! All fish of a lifetime congratulations to all winners! The break down is listed below: 1st place - 50% 2nd place - 30% 3rd place - 20%

Although Mario Di Bartolomeo’s tournament leading 32.72 lb catch was shortly replaced by the eventual winning 35.20 lb fish, we were excited to present him with this $7925.00 cheque for his first place finish in the Silver Spoon category. Along with his 2nd place finish in Week 8, Mario won just shy of $10,000 dollars. Congratulations Mario #scalesgear #whitbymarinesupplies

Captains Pursuit (Largest fish weighed in by a charter) Congratulations to ontartiofishingtrip for landing the largest fish out of the charter boat field! Mike Howser from Bowsers sport fishing landing on of the first Tyees of the event! As well Katarah Fishing Charters putting the hours on the water finishing strong the last 2 weeks of the event. Congratulations to all winners!

Hooked on Kings Sportfishing, On the Mark Sportfishing and Watsons Tackle have came together give the anglers a reason to fish for this fall. From August 29-September 5 the Denis Bester Memorial Shootout is a GO! Bigger and better thanks to many local sponsors who have stepped up with very generous donations. Single ticket $25 and Family ticket $60. ... All proceeds will be going right back into the local community. The Salvation Army Family Services and Food Bank and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Grey Bruce. Anglers can only weigh 3 fish each so choose wisely!
