The Silver Skate family is saddened to hear that Larry Andreoff has passed after a long fight. The snow and ice carving world will miss you. Larry was a big part of our community and a joy to be around. This picture is from the 2015 Festival Snow Sculpture Symposium. The Executive Producer knew of a young artist that was looking to learn how to carve. Larry, being Larry asked her to join his team, they were the youngest and oldest carvers that year and had a blast. Larry was always willing to share his knowledge. Our deepest condolences to his family. Heaven is waiting with some pristine snow blocks and sharp carving tools. You will be missed.

The sculptures will remain at Hawrelak Park for a little while, so if you didn't get a chance to see them yet, or want to see them without all the crowds, head down! We will keep them up as long as possible but when they become unsafe we knock them down. Thanks again to our participating snow sculpture artists! https://www.silverskatefestival.org//si/290-snow-sculpture
