ART// Never too young to appreciate the use of colour! Just wanted to share some of our fantastic artwork based on our artist studies. JOY// Bouncing into Monday this week with smiles on our faces. We spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities these days and we LOVE it! In the classroom the four year olds are exploring nursery rhymes. Our three year olds are learning about emotions and body parts through play! ... MEET OUR TEACHERS// Meet Lisa West she is one of our teachers for the 4 year old program. Lisa and her husband moved to Calgary in 2006 and began their family here. She made the conscious decision to stay at home with her 2 children, Lily & Matthew, until their were of school age. Both Lisa's children have attended the Silver Springs Preschool. She is so glad for the opportunities that were provided to them before they started school. Lisa felt a complete sense of community... whilst attending the preschool and enjoys Silver Springs very much. Education: Bachelor of Education from Liverpool University. Experience: Lisa trained as an Early Years teacher and her first position was at an Elementary School in Lancashire, where she worked for 10 years. During that time, she taught full time classes from ages 4-7. Lisa has also been a substitute teacher while staying at home, and has volunteered with Calgary Reads.
