Playtime with inversions! Forearm stands tonight! I wasn’t able to hold these away from the wall the last time I tried!!! Super excited to succeed today! I’ve worked on both flexibility and strength and it has paid off!!! Keep practicing....don’t give up!!!

TIGER POSE Can’t reach your foot? That’s okay! First: Build up your core strength and balance first with an opposite arm/leg raise. Hold & lengthen. Second: Bend your knee, engaging your booty, as you go into hip extensions. Reach back with the opposite hand, keep your chest up and gaze forward, lengthen through the chest. Third: Try doing a few front line openers such as Sphinx, Cobra, or Upward facing dog. ... Fourth: Stay consistent with your practice and you will get there. See more

Grasshopper In between struggling for my combo practice from Side Crow to Eka Pada 2 I thought I’d throw a new arm balance in! This one is an amazing hip opener. Definitely need to warm up with twists and hip openers before doing this one!

INVERSION PRACTICE It’s all about progressions. Having a starting point you are comfortable with and gaining strength and confidence before moving onto the next progression in a tripod handstand. There are so many options for you to choose from to begin an inversion practice. The videos posted in my group show strength and flexibility exercises specific to your inversion practice and demonstrate basic to advanced progressions.
