October 22, 2020 is Child care workers and ECE appreciation day. Strive will be doing an appreciation video and is asking for submissions. Below are the details with what they are looking for. What a great way to show the Educators they are are appreciated.
Just a reminder that you must wear a mask when dropping off and picking up from the centre. We also ask that only one adult goes to the door to keep the traffic lower. Also remember that if someone is at the door then you must wait at the end of the ramp. Thank you for your co-operation as we navigate though the pandemic protocols.
We know that everyone has to get to work or school in the morning but we still need to ensure that families are respecting the 6 feet of social distancing set out by Public Health. Families must wait at the bottom of the ramp if someone is at the door. This goes for the end of the day as well. If needed please form a line towards the apartment building and be sure to leave room for vehicles in the parking lot to safely pass. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation on this matter.
We have great news we now have the buzzer on the outside of the building. When you arrive to pick up you can press the buzzer and a staff will be there shortly to bring your child or children. We also ask that at pick you you please park in one of the designated parking spaces and do not block the ramp. As more children start returning it is becoming a busy spot and we need to ensure we are keeping everyone safe.
Parents if anyone if clearing out stuff and come across any pool noodles we are looking for some at the centre, and would be happy to take them off your hands. Thank you
With the announcement made yesterday about the delayed start for TVDB and today with the staggered entry for LDCSB we want to ensure families are keeping us up to date with the start dates of your child or children. Once you know your start date we ask that you inform the office right away. We will be doing our best to provide a full day program during this transition we just need parents to provide us with the information. We also need confirmation of bus stops. Please contact the office asap once this information is received. By now you should know your child's bus stop time and location. Thank you, Simply Kids Administration
Some of our preschool friends out enjoying the beautiful day.
Parent of children who attend TVDSB please see the post attached.
Please take a moment to read this post about who needs to wear masks at the centre Starting August 24th.
Over the next few days we will be contacting our families to confirm your childcare needs for September. If you have not heard from us yet hang tight we are working very hard to get in contact with everyone. As of September 1st we can go back to capacity in each program room. This is great news as we will be able to start welcoming some of part time families back as well. As always full time children have priority over the spaces but we will do our best to fit in some part time care as well. We want to thank all of our families for their understanding during everything.
We have had lots of visitors in our yards these days.
Can anyone guess what the Toucans found in their tree?
Toucans out for a drive.
We have been asked to share this with our families with regards to school at TVDSB. Dear Parents and Guardians, Thames Valley District School Board is excited to welcome your child(ren) back to school and plans are underway to make this a safe and welcoming experience. The Ministry of Education announced on July 30, 2020 that all Elementary students will return to school every day, five (5) days-a-week, in a designated cohort for the full day (i.e. recess and lunch). Secondar...Continue reading
We had a great week this week welcoming back a few of our toddlers and some more school age children. Things are going great so far and we cannot wait to have more of you come back in the up coming weeks. Reminder that we will be closed on Monday August 3rd for the civic holiday. Enjoy the long weekend and we will see you back on Tuesday.
Edit: At this time it is still full time children. When we start to look at part time children it will be a min of 3 days to attend. I will update families when this can happen. We are currently accepting Toddler and Preschool children to start in August. If you need care please either call the centre at 519-246-1304 or email Jenn at [email protected]
As we wrap up the end of week three we wanted to leave you with this cute video of Chloe pretending to be Ms.Jenn. We hope everyone has a great weekend and we can’t wait to welcome more of you back next next week.
Can’t believe it’s been 5 years since we got to take part in this video to help the hospital win $10,000. We love taking part in community activities.
We thought that it would be nice for our families to see what the centre is looking like these days and how drop off is in the morning. We have added some photos for you share with your children. If you have any questions about this or anything else please reach out. We can’t wait to welcome more of you back next week.
