My next group coaching program is beginning soon! Food Freedom program is designed to help you feel more CONNECTED to your body, break FREE from limiting food ...rules, teach you how to TRUST your body's innate wisdom and end emotional eating for good. This 12-week group coaching program is hands-down most comprehensive program for finding food freedom. There's a part of you that knows that you can have a healthy relationship with food without dieting. For years, I too was stuck in the emotional eating cycle and found myself using food as an escape from my emotions. I thought if I could just have some control around food it would all end. When in fact, bringing awareness to my issues, developing emotional mastery and learning how to reframe was the true key to my success. Just a few years ago, I was using food to comfort every emotion that I could. I had no idea how to even begin to climb out of the perpetual cycle I was in. I began by bringing awareness to my emotions and allowing myself to feel for the first time in years. Processing your emotions isn't as scary as it sounds, but it is truly liberating! Ready to feel that way? I'll teach you how I did it! This 12-week GROUP program includes: - The 3 Phases of Food Freedom with 12 in-depth modules. - The 12 core group coaching calls on recreating a healthier relationship with food and your body. - The 12-weeks of hormone balancing recipes that nurture your body from the inside out. - More than 12 mindfulness practices to shift your mindset. - Loads of journal prompts, exercises, and mindfulness practices. - Coaching and feedback from myself in a group setting. - Support and connection with individuals like yourself. Join now, the first session is in one week on January 6th! Click the link to save your seat! https://www.simplynurtured.ca/food-freedom-program

I’m pretty sure we’ve all been there. Those moments when you know that you’re full but the food tastes so delicious that it’s hard to stop eating. Or when dessert comes out after a very filling meal... I don’t believe instances like these are a part of not knowing your fullness cues.... But is really just a full out ignoring your fullness cues. Your body is telling you no but you’ve completely overridden the cues, telling yourself you’ll have your cake and eat it too. What does self-love mean to me? It means talking to myself and about myself with love. Do you ever call yourself stupid or fat or maybe ugly? The language yo...u use to describe yourself matters! It means prioritizing myself. Putting my needs first. I’ve talked about the airplane analogy before... It means giving myself a break from self-judgement. Maybe it's a mantra that stops you in your tracks to remind you to stop the criticism. It means being true to myself. Being authentic to who you are is an act of self-love. It means setting healthy boundaries. It's OKAY to say 'no' and let people know what is okay and not okay. It means forgiving myself when I'm not being true or nice to myself. This is key. Beating yourself for beating yourself up is a vicious cycle. Download a free self-love workbook at simplynurtured.ca See more

You alone have the power to reprogram how you view food. You can right now, stop labelling food as bad or good. Food is food. The problem with this black or white thinking is, that it becomes a slippery slope to food shame, which can be a whole lot harder to climb out of.... When we label foods as bad or forbidden those are the foods we desire and dream about having as a cheat meal on Friday night. The problem with a cheat meal mentality is that it provides a negative connotation around food. That you are not allowed to eat pizza so when you do have it, you can’t just eat one slice, you end up eating the whole thing. I suggest starting looking at which foods make you feel energized, healthy and nourished. And eat more of those. Learn 4 more ways to End Food Guilt over on my blog! Link to the blog in my bio. I recently gave a client permission to set weight loss aside. I think so many of us (myself included) get so focused on weight loss that we forget that our health is more important. For instance if you're super stressed out and not losing weight is causing you even more stress, is that helpful?... Nope, it's actually impeding you from losing weight. When your cortisol levels are so high, your body is in survival mode. So, how can you focus on improving your health and supporting your body in the way that it truly needs? #foodrelationship #wellnescoach #eattonourish #nondietdietitian #bingerecovery #nutritionexpert #dietculturedropout #healthylifestyletips #healthycommunity #soulfulliving #healthandwellnessjourney #innerhappiness #wholeheartedliving #journeytowellness #ditchthediet #nourishyoursoul #emotionalwellness #wellnesscoaching #wellnesstips #healthtip #emotionaleating #holistichealthcoach #nourishnotpunish #nourishyourself #healthcoach #simplynurtured See more

Stop skipping meals. Eating enough food throughout the day is important for so many reasons. But many individuals that I work with are restricting so much during the day or skipping meals, that they wonder why they are ravenously hungry in the evening.... Our bodies require a certain amount of food each and every day just to survive. If you are not feeding it all day, our natural biological system takes overeating whatever and as much as it can and as fast as it can. It is actually more beneficial to eat every 3-4 hours than to fast all day and binge at night. If this is you, start slow add in a small snack that includes a bit of protein and see how you feel in your body. I can love my body the way that it is. This was a big lesson for me. True acceptance doesn’t happen overnight.... It’s taken me 33 years to reach this point. And I recognize that some people never do. But fully accepting yourself as you are is the greatest gift of all. Read more of my life lessons from last year over on my blog! When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see the bags under your eyes from lack of sleep? Do you see the lines on your forehead that seem to now be permanent fixtures of your face? Do you see the extra 20 or 30 pounds around your mid-section that wasn’t there 10 years ago? We are our own worst critics. Judging myself was my favourite pastime okay maybe not my favourite but it was on constant repeat you would think that I enjoyed it by how much time I succumbed to... it. I am all too familiar with the icky overwhelming feeling of shame. In fact, it’s been my go-to for years. Bypassing feelings of guilt and heading straight down the tunnel of I’m not enough. Shame is the lowest vibrating emotion. You may have felt its unpleasant feeling wash over you. When it comes to body shaming the messages are far and wide. The constant messages that our bodies aren’t good enough unless they are bikini ready. But what we’re really telling ourselves is that our bodies aren’t good enough as they are.
