Everyday is a gift and we get to cherish the moments, the memories and the people in our lives. However, we sometimes forget that everyone is going through something. They may look fine on the outside but what we often don't see is that they just don't know how to share with you how they are feeling. It's okay to not be okay! I don't share this often but I feel like today is a good time. For years I've always felt like I wasn't valued, seen, heard and so often I've felt taken... advantage of. Maybe it's my personality, and I want to help people, but there was a breaking point where I broke hard and I didn't know what to do or who to turn to. Finally, I talked with friends and family, it's been a huge help but it's a constant battle to be better, do better, love myself and know it's okay to say NO! Mental health is a serious issue and we need to be okay with not being okay. Reach out to someone! Hey Everyone! I thought I'd stop by, say hi and just be real with you. I'm Bryanne, the owner of Simply You Wedding & Events. I've been quiet lately as I want to give my couples my full attention as I work on their weddings. However, I'll be honest, I'm not perfect and I make mistakes and learn from them. Owning a business isn't all sunshine and lollipops. It's hard work, tears, late nights, long hours planning and figuring things out as you go. But through this journey I h...ave met some incredible people who have pushed me to become better, to never give up on my dreams and through that I've also met some incredible vendors in Manitoba whom I love to work with and bounce ideas off one another. I may be a small business but I have an amazing army behind me. To the other entrepreneurs our there- you will have your highs and low and that's okay. Take time for yourself, don't underestimate yourself, you are heading in the right direction keep your head up and go do whatever it is that you're doing. April 22- Earth Day Take some time today to enjoy this earth we live on, the place we call home. Each one of us can make a difference. Even though we set aside one day a year for earth day, let's take care of our home every single day. As we take care of our earth it allows us to create more memories. Memories can last a lifetime. Weddings is one place where memories are made. We had the opportunity to be a part of a fabulous earth day photoshoot that displayed and helpe...d so many of us to be more aware of what we use and have at our weddings. Reusing items in different areas is just one of the things you can do. Items reused: -Chairs to be used for guests during the ceremony and brought around the campfire after. -Benches to be used at the guest tables. -Chandelier, draping & frames as a ceremony backdrop, afterwards a photobooth. -Instead of bouquets we had lanterns which also had pictures of loved ones who couldn't be there, which we used as center pieces after the ceremony. Be creative with your ideas, but please also be mindful of our earth. One of the many things we love about wedding planning is being able to build a friendship during and after the wedding. The sweet words from A & K makes what we do worth it! Where to start?!?! I will be 28 on April 28th. (Champagne birthday for me!) ... I am a dog lover, even though I don't have a dog yet, I've always gravitated towards dogs and their loyalty to their owners. Even though I love the country, I find myself loving the simple modern chic life. Being a small business owner, I have gained a new perspective and respect for all the other local business out there and truly do my best to support local as they have gone through so much to get to where they are today.
