One great to help with mobility is foam rolling! My legs have fault super tight with some of the workouts I've been doing and this is a simple way to warm up before going into an form of exercise! Or it can be used, in addition to stretching, to gain some flexibility and mobility that you have been lacking! Its an exciting time, I get to reopen my doors! After getting the go ahead from the Ministry of Health last week, I have been hard at working making sure all the safety protocols will be in place. We have plexiglass, we have masks , we have hand sanitizer from @redlinebrewhouse , disinfectant for the tables and thats just the tip of the iceberg! Yesterday the Ministry of Health announced that Health Care professionals can GRADUALLY re-open their doors, provided they have the right protocols in place. I have been working hard to make sure these protocols will be in place of the time of opening. Once everything is finalized, a firm date for re-opening will be announced! thank you for your patience!

Unfortunately, we have to announce that we will be closed for the foreseeable future. We have been instructed by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario to stop... treating patients as of yesterday with the exception of acute or emergency cases. The goal of this measure to keep our patients, staff and everyone we come in contact with safer. This has been a roller coaster past few days, and we hope that you are your love ones are doing what they feel is best to stay healthy. Please remember to have good personal hygiene, avoid crowds, and to not panic. Do You Suffer Tight Shoulders or Upper Back? These 2 minutes will change your life (try it and see) If you spend time driving in a car, sitting in a desk, ...or train your upper body - these drills are for you! The function and health of your shoulders relies heavily on the function and health of your upper back (Thoracic Spine). Make sure these drills move well, and youre on your way to feeling better on a day to day basis! Video 1 - Thoracic Roll/Sweep 1. Lay on the floor, top leg at 90 with a bent knee 2. Bottom arm straight out (or pin top leg down) 3. Reach over with top arm, and either roll straight over, reaching high into the air and rotation through the upper back, or sweep high overhead in an arc, rolling over through your torso. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Video 2 -Shoulder circles /swimmers 1. Lay face down 2. Reach out as far as you can, make tight fists 3. Make circles with your arms, point thumbs to sky by rotating through your whole arm if possible 4. With arms outstretched (avoid bunching up in the traps) reach up into Y position, out into a T, and down into an A position, rotating tight fists through a straight arm as you move up and down. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Start your week off right - try these drills 3-4x this week for 2-3 sets of 15-20/ movement. Show your body some love Enjoy!!!!!

Want a better Squat & Deadlift? Hips ALWAYS tight? Say hi to some Posterior Chain & Hip Flexor strengthening... 1. Lay on floor with feet up on a bench 2. With straight legs and a tight tummy, squeeze your butt (tuck your tailbone between your legs) to elevate your hips 3. For beginners, hold this position and make sure your BUTT and ABS are working, and probably a few other things, just make sure your back doesnt hurt. (Posterior chain strength) 4. When this becomes doable, bring a knee to chest with a small band around your feet (hip flexor strength) The hip flexors are often forgot about when we think about strengthening our core muscles. They get stretched and stretched (and stretched and stretched) yet we never SHORTEN or CONTRACT the muscle purposefully. If your hips are tight ALL THE TIME, try this drill out let me know how they feel after! McD Fitness
