Went looking for some fresh salmon, and ended up catching a handful of beautiful cutthroat trout. We didn’t see anybody else other than a few bears... Beauty day on the watershed:)

Chum salmon, The window is small for chasing this fish in the river, as we like to target them when they are fresh in and it’s not long before they will turn and start looking for spawning beds. When fresh from the sea, these fish are every bit a fighter as any fish I know pound for pound and don’t give in till at hand.
