Its taken a moment to unwind and get our feet back on the ground. We rallied, we roared and we returned home! Started our day with a botched wheel seal, thank you to Peterbilt Kamloops for getting us in and out in less than 45 min so we could catch the convoy in Merritt just as they were rolling out. That feeling of pride and solidarity is like no other when people come together from the far reaches of the map for an industry that supports so many. Personal moments Ill t...ake away from this day.... our Clearwater Mayor Merlin, jumping up on the steps of the truck to thank Sheldon for coming and shaking his hand with true gratitude. And a man, sitting in the box of his truck somewhere near Hope with a plywood sign THANK YOU. 42 years logging. Im unsure if our convoy will have any effect on the big picture, but Im sure hopeful! Canada is in trouble , all of our resources seem to be being mismanaged! But for one day, the forestry industry contractors came together to rally!! Boosting moral in support of one another! It was a day for the books. Thank you to : *Reliable towing -One of our convoy trucks broke down on the bridge and Reliable hooked him and drug him all the way to the convention center so he didnt miss a thing. *Peterbilt Kamloops- wheel seal fix on the fly * Wadlegger logging - for donating our awesome saw blade *all those on the side of the roads and overpasses *Bruce Leyden - for buying our dinner, we know you would have been there with your truck if you could. *Our pit crew for helping us polish Tinker the night before- Ryan, Catherine, Manuel, Christine, Will *RCMP/ Vancouver city police for your efforts in escorting the convoy. *All of the organizers... not a small task. Thank you.

RCMP escort from Merritt to Vancouver city police boundary where they will take over and escort through the city Frank Etchart and Howard Mckimmon are organizing a log truck convoy of 200+ trucks to go to Vancouver this WEDNESDAY SEPT 25TH when the premier is there speaking to the m...ayor. Frank, Howard and many of us feel it is one way to get ACTION and get us back to work so pass it on to whoever may be interested There will be a small Meeting where a spokes person will go over a few things in Merritt at the old Husky at 9:00am ITS TIME TO STOP HANDCUFFING THE INDUSTRIES THAT BUILT THIS COUNTRY!!
