Wednesday this past week marked a groundbreaking day for SITECH, Finning Technology, Trimble, and Propeller, as they introduced our new drone surveying solution - Trimble Stratus! Congratulations everyone - keep on spinning!

We were able to do a full topographical survey with our drone for Mainland Group of Companies in under an hour. Using this technology, the surveyor can plot one point on the site and then deploy multiple aeropoints to achieve several ground control points throughout the site, resulting in a tolerance of 5cm of accuracy.

Our customer, North Construction, is seeing the benefits of added technology on their CS563 3D compactor. They see more consistent compaction results on their job site and have reports sent directly to them so they know the work has been done correctly, saving them time and money.
