I never understood why my dad always made such a big deal of his natural loofahs. Growing up in Canada it wasn’t very common to see them in the local markets. I recall he would also ask friends and family visiting from the Middle East to bring him a fresh new loofah sponge. They would bring it in different shapes and he would cut it up and always have one in the shower. I never realized my dad’s love to the loofah.
