Posting a selfie since I don’t have any photos back yet from my lovely Covid weddings! But hang in there. I am still a makeup artist and I’ll prove it #halifaxtalent
Sivannah provided professional make up services to the bridal party for my daughters wedding. Not only that she is very talented, but she presented amazing pers...onality, patience and courtesy. She did truly wonderful job! The make up was beautiful, complete and lasted whole day and evening. We loved her work and personality. Definitely would recommend her as we will be using her services in all future family events! See more
My partner and I had a great experience with Sivanah! She was efficient and accommodating to come to 2 different locations, pleasant and easy going. For 2 bride...s who don’t usually wear makeup, she made our makeup look natural but elegant. We were super happy to have her be apart of our special day and we would definitely recommend her and use her in the future! See more
So, I’ll start by saying I’m the type of person to keep political posts on my personal page. I usually keep that part of my life separate from the business/professional side, same with my family life (for the most part). However, I am not doing that any longer. Not in this case. My life is not political. The human rights of my brothers, sisters, and fellow BIPOC are not debatable for me. If you are a client and choose to take your money elsewhere because of this post I enco...urage you to do so. Losing clients or potential clients is something I can live with. It won’t kill me. Racism might. I was raised by my lower-middle class white grandparents. I have the privilege of being cis gendered, financially stable, light skinned/bi-racial, and well educated. I recognize that privilege and do my very best to take advantage of it every single day. I shouldn’t have to, everyone’s voice should be equally important, but it isn’t. Despite my privileges I have faced racism my entire life, both out-right calling me the N-word and subtle micro-aggressions. The first step in your anti-racist journey is to recognize that privilege (we all have it) and then do something about it. Please take the time to look up what this movement means and if you follow my personal page, I have shared many posts and links that are educational and tell you how you can help. If you have any questions please send me a direct message and I will do my best to answer appropriately. ALL black lives matter. Peace & love. xoxo Sivanah Burgess #allblacklivesmatter #bipocartists #amplifyblackvoices
