Hey everyone! how cute are these bee homes?! They are a wonderful addition to any garden or patio. Ryley and I began beekeeping last spring and have became completely amazed with these tiny creatures and helping in any way we can. We realize not everyone has the room or time to get hives so we began creating smaller homes with next to no maintenance. These homes are for solitary bees, they do not produce honey but are one of the best pollinators. Alberta is home to over 30...0 native species of bees, most of which are solitary bees. Solitary bees are not aggressive. The females use the tubes to lay their eggs from March-August, and cover it using mud. The larvae grows through the winter and emerge in spring. It’s a really neat and easy way to add pollinators to your garden! Did you know that bees pollinate 80% of all the flowering plants on EARTH?! By providing them with shelter and some bee friendly blooms, you can play a small yet vital role in supporting these unsung heroes of our ecosystem! We still have a few available, please send us a message if you are interested
