I'm really loving storytelling through dance and also processing my own emotions, story and experiences. This was actually the very first time I danced through this song. It's the beginning of the process and I'm going to refine this piece more moving forward Song: "Holy Terrain" by FKA Twigs ft Future

Did an improvised piece to the Scary Pockets cover of "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. Did I do everything I wanted to? Nope Did I have fun playing in a room full of supportive peers? Yup! ... I often like to improv solos as a way to learn more about my natural movement and be my authentic self in that moment.

In this piece, Siyobin/Chai will take you on a journey through insecurity, pressures of the media and eurocentric beauty standards. It's a very real depiction of the struggles she goes through as a queer woman of colour with chronic pain. She is using her platform to tell an important story of racism, insecurity and breaking generational trauma with the healing power of motherly love and women teaching each other to love themselves.
