We're excited to announce that a new book by author Nancy Silcox, entitled "Workin’ Like a Dog; Doin’ Nuthin’ Like a Cat: Canadian Pets who go to the Office" fe...atures some of our dedicated Therapy Dog Teams from Vancouver to St. John's. One of the stories included in the book is about Therapy Dogs teams out of Saskatchewan (pictured), who were present to provide support at the Humboldt hockey team vigil. Nancy Silcox is graciously passing on revenue from sales of the book to animal-focused charities, including SJA Therapy Dogs! Books are $35 plus shipping and can be ordered by emailing [email protected] St. John Ambulance NL St John Ambulance NS/PEI St. John Ambulance Saint-Jean New Brunswick/Nouveau-Brunswick St. John Ambulance Ontario St. John Ambulance Manitoba St. John Ambulance Saskatchewan St. John Ambulance - Alberta St. John Ambulance BC/Yukon Ambulance Saint-Jean (Québec) See more
Funds raised from our participation in Charitable Gaming have been used to support our volunteer Medical First Responder, Therapy Dog and Car Seat Safety Education programs. Our Medical First Responder Team has used funds to purchase a new vehicle, life-saving equipment, training and uniforms. Through our partnership with Cambridge Bingo and Gaming, we have raised $137,040 for our volunteer programs since 2013. Thank you Cambridge Bingo and Gaming Centre and Cambridge Gaming Association for helping our volunteer divisions to continue supporting the health, safety and well-being of those in our community. https://www.facebook.com/cambridgebingo EDIT* Photo's taken in 2018

This week we are saying a very sad goodbye to Milo, there are so many people within the Cambridge community who had the pleasure of Milo's smiles and will be saddened by this news. Milo was the longest serving Therapy Dog with the Cambridge Branch, having been visiting the same facility for an astounding 12 years. Our thoughts go out to his handler and owner Cheryl, we know the joy Milo has brought to you and your family, he will be greatly missed These photos from Milo's retirement party last year show how very much he was loved by those he visited
