Our students who have chosen to learn remotely miss being at school and we miss having them here. We can't wait until we can all connect and learn together again. Thank you for the beautiful drawing, Vincent! #remotelearning #connections #cais #risetothechallenge

Red dresses hang from the trees on campus this week, lining both entrances. Senior School students have been inspired by Jaime Black's REDress Project. The project, which began in 2010 and continues today, commemorates and brings focus to missing and murdered Indigenous women by hanging empty red dresses in a range of environments. It has prompted the creation of Red Dress Day. Métis artist Black chose the colour red after a conversation with an indigenous friend during which... she learned that red is the only colour the spirits can see. Our School community continues the important work of Reconciliation and recognizes our campus is in Treaty 1 territory and that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. #pathtoreconciliation #historymatters #MMIW #redressproject
