Holy-Moly, we don't see this often! Here's an example of what an attic SHOULD look like: Adequate amounts of insulation that is perfectly flat, plenty of baffles (the white styrofoam spacers that vent your attic), and most importantly NO signs of wildlife. Check out the other photos to see what animals can do...... If you are planning on topping-up your insulation this year, consider having your house wildlife-proofed first to protect that R-value investment. Pro tip: We always recommend that clients top-up with cellulose insulation. Not only do pests dislike it (it's lined with bad-tasting Borates), but it has a stable R-value that will be warmer during the winter and it's harder for contractors to cheat. When was the last time you had your attic inspected? Call to find out how Skedaddle can permanently help you protect your home from wildlife, 100% guaranteed for life. #SkedaddleSudbury #PerfectAttic #WildlifeProofing

Mice can be sneaky. They can squeeze through the tiniest of cracks and slip in and out of a home for years without ever being noticed. When they get into a living space (typically in an unfinished room such as a basement or through plumbing cutouts under sinks) the evidence is clear: droppings abound and snap-traps going off in the middle of the night. The health concerns in this scenario are obvious.... But more surprising is the damage that mice can do without ever entering the interior of your home: Once inside walls and attics, mice can chew wires posing a fire hazard, scratch away at vapour-barriers (this is the noise that's probably keeping you up at night), and tunnel through insulation greatly reducing its R-value. In fact, in just about every attic we’ve ever been in we’ve seen at least some evidence of mice. The issue is common and it only gets worse with time. So when it comes to dealing with mice it is best to tackle the root cause of the problem: the home. We do not use traps or poison simply because they are ineffective (not to mention inhumane!). Instead, mice are provided with a way out of the house, and every gap and crack from foundation to roof gets screened and/or sealed to prevent re-entry. Ladders, Ladders, Ladders. We love our ladders! Whether we're accessing a high roof, squeezing under soffits to seal mice out, or using them to create a solid footing in the snow, we're on these things every day. When used properly, ladders are a very safe and useful tool. They're our trusty companions!... Pro tip: Always tie off your ladder to an eavestrough or get a good spotter to hold the ladder for you while you exit on/off the roof. Avoid setting up a ladder on a deck or sandy driveways (they're too slippery!). Stay safe Sudbury. #SkedaddleSudbury #SafetyFirst #WeHeartLadders

Check out our 5-star rating on Google, including this one from Jimmy who was kind enough to share a photo of Momma Raccoon leaving with her baby in-tow earlier this Spring. Thanks Jimmy! We're looking forward to growing our Facebook tribe next. Thanks Sudbury :) #SkedaddleSudbury #FiveStarCompany
