#AmazonAdventure "How do pairs of unrelated butterflies from Peru to Costa Rica evolve nearly the same wing-color patterns over and over again?" A big question facing an international team of scientists working with Heliconius butterflies at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. This is the same species Henry Bates was studying when he discovered the phenomenon of mimicry, now known as Batesian mimicry, over 150 years ago. Even today, we are still learning... so much from these amazing creatures! Check out the full video from the National Science Foundation (NSF) below.

We are excited to share this Forbes article from #WingsOverWater Executive Producer Chris Dorsey, of Dorsey Pictures, about the upcoming IMAX/Giant Screen film, Wings Over Water soaring onto Giant Screens in Spring 2021. The film follows sandhill cranes, mallard ducks and yellow warblers (among many other species) as they embark on harrowing migratory journeys to reach their prairie breeding grounds. No media format can immerse an audience into an environment better than... IMAX, says CEO of SK Films, Wendy MacKeigan. The film will virtually transport movie-goers to the prairie wetlands. While few people will ever set foot in this ecosystem, by employing the power of IMAX we will take millions of North Americans to this unique habitat as only the giant screen can do. The film is a Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation project, overseen by Max McGraw President Charlie Potter, with support from conservation heavyweights Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl Foundation. Wings Over Water is Produced and Directed by the same team that brought us #BackyardWilderness, Andy Young and Susan Todd of Archipelago Films. Check out the full article for more details and be sure to watch the teaser trailer linked within it!
