Interesting way to get FIS events for smaller regions with less vertical than currently needed for a standard FIS slalom event...

ATLANTIC ALPINE/ALPIN ATLANTIQUE (AAA) December 23, 2020 The AAA committee would like to advise Atlantic Ski Clubs, Coaches, Parents and Athletes that difficult decisions must be made based on science, safety, and the recommendations of doctors about ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19.... Therefore, the AAA committee would like to inform you of the following decisions made for the start of the upcoming racing season: - Mont-Farlagne ski race - January 9-10; CMRC Junior Speed Camp January 28-29; Ski NB Speed Camp February 1-3; and the Crabbe Mountain ski race - February 5-7 have been postponed. - The Atlantic Cup will be cancelled for 2021. - The AAA will not send any athletes or coaches to any National events in 2021 U14 Can Am’s, U16 Eastern’s and Whistler Cup. All decisions will be re-visited throughout the season and you will be apprised of any further changes as they are made. Training opportunities can be made by individual clubs, families, and athletes. Individual Provincial Health guidelines/regulations must be followed at all times. October 17 there will be a Ski NB coaches meeting. All coaches from all clubs and coaches of all levels are invited. Watch your email for a notice from Ski NB and from your clubs. Further details will be released in the coming weeks.

So it is National Coaches Week. It is the time of year all sports across the country recognize the contribution of their coaches. On behalf of Ski NB and the Board of Directors and staff I would like to say "THANKS COACH" to all the Ski NB club coaches who give up so much of their time during the winter in particular but also throughout the year to do work for their athletes or clubs or for taking training that will make them better coaches. Every single coach whether they wo...rk with the youngest participants one day or afternoon a week or if they travel out of province with athletes from the other clubs for FIS races or Nationals they all are playing a huge role in the development of ski racing in NB and the athletes who ski race. I am more than privileged to work on snow with and be friends with so many of the coaches. So once again Thanks Coach. See more
