Eoin Bear Ski decided not to throw his paw into the leadership ring for the new premier. However, Eoin Bear Ski would like to send a big thank you to Premier Steven MacNeil and wish him all the best in the future and looks forward to continuing his work with Dr. Strang and the new Premier.

The Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance is a nation organization that is responsible for certification and training of Canadian instructors. Yesterday the CSIA made an announcement that one of Ski Ben Eoin's Snow School instructors has been honoured as one of several "Ski Instructors of the Year". Shawn Kaiser is a level 2 ski instructor who works full time with the school program. Always professional, always smiling, his unwavering dedication to instilling the passion of our... sport in all school program participants is infectious to all those who work with him. Shawn will more often than not forfeit his lunch break to ensure that as many students as possible on a particular day have his undivided attention and can profit from his professional expertise. Snow School Director Susan MacLean said today that Shawn is a team player and works well with all instructors. He is always available to help his peers, to offer solutions and to keep everyone on an even keel, even during the most challenging days. Congratulations Shawn!

Ski Cape Smokey presented us with a 'Token of Appreciation' for our help this winter. We were doing what good friends do, helping out in a time of need and only too glad we could help. Here is to many more years of working together and continuing to build a strong ski community on our island.

Hi everyone, We want to provide you with an update on our Snow Bucks lottery. We have decided to postpone our draws until further notice due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. This was done for your safety and that of our fundraising committee. ... As soon as it is safe to do so, we will resume the lottery. The weeks missed will be added at the end to ensure we get our 52 weekly draws. The Snow Bucks boxes will be removed today from their locations. Monies inside will go towards the next draw. There was no winner again this week for our Snow Bucks lottery! The ticket number 113 was drawn. There was no winner this week as the number was not paid for play. The prize of $261 dollars will be carried forward to the March 24th draw. The estimated jackpot will be over $700.... Now that the hill is closed you can drop off your tonnies Apple Glass or Meadows Pharmasave before noon on Tuesday March 24th.

Thank you all for a great season at Ski Ben Eoin! Today was a tough day! We had to make the call to end our season early. This decision was not made lightly. We, along with the other Nova Scotia Ski Hill operators decided that it was in everyone’s best interest to close our doors. The safety of our staff and your own safety is always the foremost concern at Ski Ben Eoin. We will enjoy one last day on the slopes tomorrow. The chair will turn at 9:00am until 6:00pm. Wear you...r green and enjoy the fresh air and our beautiful snow covered runs. It’s also our last day for tubing. The park will be open between 2:00-5:00pm. If you are able to clear your lockers tomorrow please do so as it is unclear when the facility will be able to open again to the public. We once again want to thank our ski family, that’s all of you! You make us who we are and you really do bring #HappinessHillside to life!
