Perfect cord and deep turns make for great start to the week Mt. Norquay Banff
It is rare, but occasionally you can spot elusive wildlife on your days exploring the mountains When viewing wildlife remember to admire from afar and take a moment to enjoy the natural beauty of Banff National Park
The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola's newest terrain is the size of 240 Canadian football fields! Before venturing out to West Bowl for endless fun, here are a few things to remember Know Before You Go: https://bit.ly/35DiSgN
Start the weekend off right with Friday and Saturday night tubing at Mt. Norquay Banff

Meet #SkiBig3Ambassador @amandajtimm (IG) Amanda was the first sit skier to do Delirium Dive at Banff Sunshine Village She competed on the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team for years, and competed in Big Mountain Challenge competitions at The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola. Today, you can find her at beer league races at Mt. Norquay Banff and always out getting face shots skiing the backside of The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola (as pictured here!) ... Let's get some intel from Amanda! What do you love most about the Bow Valley community? Everyone in the Bow Valley is here for the same thing, to get the thrills of simply being outside, no matter the season, no matter the sport. Living here is amazing because you're able to sneak into the mountains out your front door, and you quickly learn to do things you never thought you could do. What's your biggest achievement as a sit skier? My biggest accomplishment as a skier was the first time I went up the old Summit Platter at The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola Sit skiers originally weren't allowed to use it due to the difficult terrain going up and coming down. It was a couple of years before finally the head ski patroller saw me skiing and realized that yes, in fact, I can certainly make it up and down the Palma. I LOVED the Palma. Favourite run at the #SkiBig3 resorts? The all-time best run is Bye Bye Bowl at Banff Sunshine Village - groomed doing a super-G race or on a deep powder day, nothing beats steep straight fall lines. Give Amanda a wave next time you see her ripping around the #SkiBig3 resorts See more

This snow has been insane!
Full send into our next resort highlight, SkiBig3, which includes Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay. Whether you're ripping down the 3,514-foot verti...cal rise at Banff Sunshine, catching fresh tracks on one of the 65 black diamond runs at Lake Louise, or carving up Canada's oldest ski run at Mt. Norquay, you'll be sure to find good ole Canadian kindness around every corner. All three resorts are located in Banff National Park, and while winter is definitely a favorite season, people here are wild all year long, from snowboarding giant alpine snowfields in winter, to kayaking rapids in summer, to ripping single track in fall. If you’ve skied one mountain (including ours!), or traveled the world on skis or snowboard, you’ve probably used James Niehues’ resort maps. https://www.mountainlifemedia.ca//the-rembrandt-of-snow-/
While it is great to see so many enjoying the outdoors, exploring the resorts requires some adjustment from all of us during these times. Here are a few tips to keep us all safe and shredding this season: Ensure that you have a face mask for going indoors. Face coverings do not cut it as a non-medical mask. Bring extra so you can stay safe and dry.... Consider arriving outside of peak times - early afternoon arrivals are recommended. Use your car as a day lodge tailgate lunch with your household cohort. Practice physical distancing. Be respectful and give everyone 2m distance (ski pole) while standing in lines and being out and about. Be patient and kind. Lines will look longer than usual. The staff at the resorts are working hard to ensure everyone continues to have a great time carvin' it up this season. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3aybvuy
At SkiBig3 resorts, the rugged and wild surrounding blends right into the on piste terrain. This legacy to nature has remained for the 133 years since the town ...of Banff was founded on the idea of big-mountain hardiness passed down through the generations. #WinterIsDeeper #ExploreCanada Read more about Banff's pioneer legacy: https://bit.ly/3ax0pWF Banff
