Monday, March 16, 2020 Ski Hill Closure In light of the concerns brought forth regarding Covid-19, The Ontario Snow Resorts Association has recommended that the owners and operators of Ontario’s 49 alpine snow resorts make the... difficult decision to cease operations for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. Hockley Valley Resort has decided to end our ski season at 4:30pm today, March 16, 2020. As we will be anticipating an increased call volume over the following days, we appreciate your patience. Please be assured that one of our team members will respond to your inquiry. We understand that this will disappoint many of our guests, as it promised to be wonderful March skiing, which makes this decision even more difficult. We look forward to a healthy 2020/2021 season. Thank you for your understanding.

Big wheel keep on turnin'! Great news from our ski department: our front side chair lift has been repaired and is back to work. We're looking forward to an amazing rest of the season with fantastic conditions. See you on the hill!
In the 3rd installment of this series, our team progresses with their lessons to master the lifts and tackle the hills!
Please be advised that while conducting routine maintenance on our chairlift, an issue was discovered and we’ve made the decision to address the necessary repairs immediately. This means that our front chairlift has been closed for the repair. However, our hills remain OPEN, as all hills are fully accessible from the beginner area and the back chair is functioning perfectly. All areas will be manned by staff to guide you and ensure that you don’t miss a minute of fun! Please note that all lessons are still on for the weekend and we’re looking forward to a continued fun and safe ski experience for everyone.

Happy Monday! This week brought to you by a brrrr-ight and chilly day!
Did you know That the difference between man-made & natural snow comes down is more than the fact that natural tends to be light & fluffy, whereas man-made is hard-packed and compact? It's about the molecular structure of the water: natural snow is 3-dimensional and full of air, but man-made snow comes out of the guns already flat, dense and compacted.
