FREE T-BAR LESSONS Scared of ridding the T-bar? We have you covered! We are offering free lessons for anybody that is not comfortable riding the T- bar or just would like lessons how to ride the T-bar correctly. This Sunday from 9am to 10am our entire hill will be closed for that one hour and we will be only doing T-bar lessons so it will not be overwhelming to anybody LIMITED to 10 people must register before Friday noon please private message us here if you would like to sign up!

We are basically done the shotgun and gold we just need a little bit more snow on the upper T bar area and we’re ready to roll. Good Morning All! Now that we are in the Orange Zone, we have a few important changes to make starting this weekend, but we are still OPEN. As we have a reduced capacity for the building, we are no longer able to allow people to wait indoors. People inside will be limited to those purchasing tickets, beverages at the bar, and staff/volunteers. We will no longer be able to have anyone waiting/hanging out inside the chalet. Chalet doors are closed to the public until 10AM. You ...are welcome to bring a lawn chair to sit outside. Masks are also now required at ALL TIMES. This includes while standing outside. Please follow all physical distancing measures. Bags are not allowed inside the chalet. This includes personal lunches - you are welcome to picnic outdoors, however NOT on the deck. Screening will take place at the main entrance. Please use the door facing the parking lot as the only exit. We would like to remind all guests that masks and social distancing are required according to TBDHU guidelines inside the chalet, and while waiting in line for and within 2 metres of the magic carpet or other guests while outdoors. This Sunday is Mount Baldy’s Opening Weekend Halloween Rail Jam! Rail Jam entry fee is $5 and we have lots of prizes from some of our awesome sponsors. Anyone can win prizes!! We will be giving out prizes in a raffle and also for Best Trick, Biggest Crash, Best Style or to anyone we see sending it!! To enter the jam come sign up in the chalet before 1:00pm on Sunday. MOUNT BALDY FREESTYLE CLUB We are very pleased to announce that we are starting Mount Baldy Freestyle in partnership with Thunder Bay Freestyle club. We are in the very beginning stages of planning which days and times we will be training. We feel along ...with you wearing a helmet, goggles, and buff and keeping your distance on our almost 300 acres of ski runs we are the best choice to get the family outside to have an amazing, safe and fun day outdoors. Our Fall Pass Sale is on now and we would like to let our valued members know that we have put the following refund policies in place in the event another Covid-19 shut down occurs. 1. If we are forced to close before we start the season we will carry over memberships to the 2021/2022 season 2. Then was thinking how the heck did this skier actually get down the hill. More importantly how did you break a solid plastic ski boot?? If you know the real story about the ski boot please share the story I’m incredibly interested :)))))

GOATS OF MOUNT BALDY: the local ski area is using close to 50 goats brought in from Giantview Farms of Gorevale Road to assist in preparing the ski-hills for t...he upcoming 2020-21 season on Mount Baldy...located on the northside of Thunder Bay, the ski resort which has been in business for over 60 years, is using the goats to rid the hills of brush, rather than using herbicides and fossil-fuel powered tools...the goats, who favour broad, leaf deciduous type plants, can easily access areas that are harder for humans to get to, and save a lot of man hours...it's a win-win situation, as the ski hills are being cleared, while the goats are being well fed. As far as the chairlift we have been reluctant to move forward with the construction due to the extensive scope of the project and the uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as go forward not knowing what will happen to outdoor businesses and raising the revenue to pay for such a huge project. With all that said Mount Baldy has ultimately decided to go forward with the construction of the lift with optimism. Construction on the tower installation has begun and we will post progress updates along the way.
